The First Purchase
I will purchase the first few books this Friday, on Amazon. The book reviews will start as soon as I have finished the first book. So expect something up on the second or third week of April (depending on the speed of delivery).
Meanwhile, here is a piece of advice for the people who complain about lacking time to read.
In high school, my teacher used to inforce a ten minutes reading rule, which occured at the beginning of each class. You could read whatever you wanted; the only rule was to read. Some of us had novels at hand; those who did not would read magazines and comics until they realized that they had six such classes a week and only one magazine per week (generally).
By the end of the year, most of us were reading novels. It was a good exercise in motivation. This is something occasional readers should do; ten minutes of reading everyday. If you end up not liking it, you still manage to read a bit. However, there is a good probability that you will eventually find yourself wanting to read more than the ten alloted minutes and pick up yourself a new hobby.
I cannot really help anyone who think that reading is stupid, sadly. We all choose our hobbies and I cannot really force someone to read. I just think that they are missing out on something really good. Why shun an entire medium?
