Planets Three present three stories written by Sci-Fi legend Frederik Pohl (also known as James MacCreigh or Elton Andrews, two noms-de-plume). Each written at a different time in his life, from the 30s to after the second World War.
Each are succinct but filled with the early Sci-Fi cheese that makes stories more interesting. Planets with atmospheres, crazy robots, ravishing alien females and dashing adventurers fill the pages. It is no literature masterpiece but it is very entertaining.
Is it worth a dollar?
Without a doubt. All three stories are engaging without being tedious. A good, easy read.
